Celebration in honor of Holy Mary

The Patron’s day is in Sectember, 8. That day the town spends his time for the Virgin devotion.

For a better feeling with this holy day, we report to you the words of priest F.P. Evola, from his ancient treatise:

“ [...] a large multitude carries the title of our Patron, solemnizes the actual recurrance through High Mass, panegyric and procession. [...]

Before the Sectember day there is a nine-days made of sermons and popular chants. [...] The Holy Patron procession is an immense crowd of devotees, singing, praying with the rosary in the hand, going on in silence.

Holding her beloved Baby, the Virgin gentle-faced passes by along the shining roads, on an artistic baldachin, amid four little golden columns, that end into two crossed archs and, upon the crossing point, a proud crown.”

Now, this religious day is supported by some collateral events, concerts, exibithions and the unfailing and extraordinary fireworks that you can gaze at the seafront.
